Effective communications
characterize the essence of healthy employee relationships at all levels.
Participants in this workshop learn effective listening,
acknowledging, feedback, and questioning techniques. Development
of these skills is reinforced by the completion of several
self-assessment instruments and an action plan with specific goals.
Major Objectives
In this workshop participants will:
- Understand the communications model
- Apply effective listening techniques
- Learn the value of acknowledging others
- Practice effective feedback and questioning techniques
Instructional Method
This is an interactive course which applies a variety of
instructional methods to engage the participants. These
include lectures, self-assessments, group discussion, video
tapes, role-plays, group exercises, and the integration of
real issues from the participants' work environments.
