Poorly conducted meetings
are one of the biggest time wasters in the work environment, as
well as a source of great frustration for employees. In this
workshop participants learn how to utilize meeting time
effectively and to make meetings more productive and results
focused. They practice critical meeting skills, applying
these skills to workplace scenarios. Participants are asked
to complete an action plan to facilitate long-term application
of key concepts.
Major Objectives
In this workshop participants will:
- Understand the three key elements of effective meetings
- Learn the value and use of agendas
- Discuss methods to keep meetings on track
Instructional Method
This is an interactive course which applies a variety of
instructional methods to engage the participants. These include
lectures, self-assessments, group discussion, video tapes,
role-plays, group exercises, and the integration of real
issues from the participants' work environments.
